Brit-Am plays in MSI Classic (select soccer) so they are a paid-coached MSI Classic team. MSI Classic Teams are either paid coached teams or parent-coached team. I can’t speak for the boys’ teams and coaches, but in the girls side, they suck.

At the OP’s kids age he could do Brit Am’s PDL program for a season, which is recreational and they play games against themselves rather than in a league. The boys coach is Tom, who is excellent in our experience. The program is not too expensive.

If the kid likes soccer they can move on to Potomac or somewhere else.
