| I live in this neighborhood and this did happen and had a pronounced creepy element. Not opining about other episodes or conspiracy theories or white vans in general. |
I’m the poster who said police checked residential security cameras and confirmed. I’m shocked there’s no update from the police or media. I imagine the people won’t try again in Bethesda. Other areas should be on notice. |

Also: nest/ring cameras don’t catch a lot.
It’s low grade consumer stuff. Better than nothing, but hardly the end all be all of security/surveillance. |
You and your skepticism can just go away, while the rest of us try to stay informed and help the authorities keep our kids safe. Hope they get this couple off the street soon. |

We are always concern about fast moving cars because they don't follow the speed limit.
I'm more concern about cars/vans/trucks that goes slow or park to the side. They may be pretending to check their phone. Who knows, right. |
Those cameras only get semi good images of the person is very close to the camera (right by the door). If you’re hoping to get good footage of the street, sidewalk or even a few feet away you’re SOL unfortunately. |
What kind of update do you require? The police is not obliged to "update" on their cases. They will announce if and when arrests are made. End of story. |
