Another miscarriage

Dr. Abassi at Columbia Fertility will do the full auto-immune panel devised by CCRM, and will prescribe prednisone and intralipids or IVIG if the results call for it.

It varies at SGF but my dr was open to my latest kitchen sink cycle which was a PGT-normal DE w/prednisone, claritin, and lovenox. I had a MMC with the previous PGT-normal DE that was just using prednisone. I suspect the lovenox is helping despite only being hetero for one of the MTHFR mutations; all of my other pregnancies failed at 9 weeks-- i think the placenta just wasn't doing the right thing.

DNA check? I had multiple m/c at 7-12 weeks and it turned out I have a balanced cell translocation. It’s more common than you might think and it’s a 50-50 chance of having a viable pg. I was unlucky to have several in a row before successfully conceiving.

Op here- thank you! I actually start progesterone suppositories at 3dpo (two, 200mg pills a day), so I definitely don’t think progesterone is my issue.

Talk to your OB, but I’ve read that d-chiro can reduce egg quality so perhaps just stick with myoinositol and not the combo.

Op here- really?! Both my RE & endocrinologist recommended that I take that combo due to my pcos. I’d never heard that before.

OP here. I don't have a lot to offer beyond some of the excellent suggestions you've already received, but I wanted to post and just offer some ((((HUGS)))) and sympathy.

You're on one of the loneliest journeys I ever went on. Even with a supportive partner; he just didn't understand the pain of having your body just not work the way most people you know's body seems to be working...not to mention the batteries of tests, hormones, and medical procedures. For me, it was like a really demanding part-time job where part of the job description including tolerating emotional abuse.

Only thing I'll add is whether your DH has had an SA. Sometimes there can be issues with both partners, and you think you've identified and addressed one...but it's the other that's causing problems (this is what happened to me). Also, I agree with the chromosomal testing, though with your profile I think late first trimester MMC isn't always chromosomal.

^^ Sorry, that should read "NP here".

Op here- this is what I found

“ An imbalance in the body’s physiological ratio of myo to DCI ratio can affect egg quality. Myo-inositol has been shown to improve egg quality in women with PCOS whereas DCI administered at high dosages (600 to 2400 mg daily) was found to negatively affect oocyte quality (cells in the ovary that could become eggs) and ovarian response.”

I take the “wholesome story” brand which looks like it’s 2,000mg myo and 50mg d-chiro. I’ll definitely bring up to my RE next week though.

Op here- thank you so much. My husband did have two SA’s done with the most recent being in October and everything came back perfectly normal.
