This statement is bizarre. I mean ultimately, you could do any of the exercises you have resistance for with your body weight, or stuff around your house,m so isn’t having resistance equipment bizarre? I love where it gets to -30C in the winter quite regularly. Spring and fall regularly have days with 50km/h winds. Aside from that, I work out at 430 in the morning, when being out alone as a small woman may not always be the safest option. While I do run / walk / bike outside, it’s nice to have the option for both convenience and safety. |
We have a treadmill and bike.
We have full set of hand weights 1lb-50lb. Bar and plates. Bench. Resistance bands. Pull-up bar. Equalizers. Various kettlebells and medicine balls. Stability balls and Bosu. Yoga mats. TV and Apple TV for videos, streaming, and of course, music. |
If you don't have a ton of dumbbells or barbells or plates, a TRX is a great investment. Then spend some time watching the different movements. Even if you are super fit, a TRX workout can be very challenging |

I usually exercise sometime between 7:30 and 10 pm and I'm not going out into the dark. I am also good at making excuses - if the temp isn't between 60 and 75, I can easily persuade myself that i'ts too cold or too hot. Having a treadmill and streaming TV is the only way I'm going to do it during most of the year. |
