ECNL rising, GA falling . . . Where will the 06 and younger D1-thinking girls go?

The other local GA clubs are done. MU is a dead-man walking. UA is done. Celtic/BU is no longer a draw for kids who want to play at the next level. FCV and Arlington are better off playing in EDP and scheduling major showcases. The GA is done.

Plenty of 2005 girls will leave for ECNL

No they won’t. But even if they do, it does not matter. You are just playing musical chairs where nobody loses a seat. Don’t kid yourself. And don’t ever compare the country club that is the ECNL with anything that goes on in men’s professional soccer. You must be out of your f’n mind.

Arlington and FCV choosing EDP over GA might be the dumbest thing I've read here this week.

Please explain the rationale of such a stupid thought. I get it, your kid is in ECNL and you really want a rival league to die but as long as GA is still around it is a far better alternative than EDP.

So your DD has already been accepted onto and ECNL team?

Why do you ask? Do you honestly think it is that hard to make a ECNL team?

Our DD and her friends are moving to a GA club. The overstuffed rosters, bizarre/erratic seasons and lack of any competitive ECNL clubs in the area makes the decision pretty simple. Having known these girls for years, they will likely all play at top 50 D1 programs. It was a shame USSoccer got rid of the DA, especially given all the male talent that has come out of that program. The GA looks and feels a lot more like the DA. We are over the UNC/Dorrance days of hockey substitutions and brute force tactics that arose from the ECNL model.

If GA collapses you might find it harder to stay on your team than it is to make the team.

Yeah. You’ve been saying or regurgitations the same line for a year. No one cares. You’re about to find out your kid isn’t that good

You find out your kid isn't that good every time you play in the Carolinas.

Anyone can go to McLean. They will roster 30 plus players on each ECNL team
