I started as a democrat and became a moderate after watching the beautiful bay area get completely ruined in less than 5 years from liberal policies. I still consider myself a moderate but usually describe myself as conservative these days because the left is completely insane. Someone very moderate is actually conservative in comparison.

I also have seen the light and no longer a dem. Voted Hillary last time, but will be voting against ever progressive policies that keeps moving the goal post.
