Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat Sun Or - M Tu W Th F Sa Su |
My college did this. So I'd not think differently, but no one else does. So I keep the 'H' for my own private notes and use Th for the small minded public. |
No ‘s’. That looks weird to me and isn’t how I learned abbreviations back in 2nd grade. I’m 42 for reference.
Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu/Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun Or MTWThF if doing something related to just weekdays. I’ve never seen Weds on anything. |
Try reading the pp first, dumba§§ |
You’re kidding right? “Mons”? A public mound? “Fris” ??? |
That's because Thursday should be represented with an R in this scenario. MTWRF |
Same. Weds and Thurs. |
I also have seen it as MTWThF. I actually prefer the Th. Our office admin started us all on it. |
The Penn State scheduling system uses R for Thursday. |
Unfortunately, the next consonant in Thursday isn't H. TH is a digraph representation of an Old English letter. |

Tues Wed Thurs Fri Sat Sun BTW I am outside of the US & have never seen anything other than these abbreviatons. Someone said if Thurs has an 's' why doesn't Wed - b/c that is how Thursday is spelt! "Wedn" would be the equivalent! |
Those of you using Weds-- how old are you? Is this how it is being taught in schools now? |
Exactly what I think too. And I have never seen Weds, just Wed. |
Weds
I have no idea why. I guess it’s what I was taught very early on in school. Mon Tues Weds Thurs Fri Sat Sun So now I’m wondering what the norm is. It looks as though every day that has an ‘s’ in the middle is one where I would use it in the abbreviation. |
