I am more concerned about your risk than his. If he is of sound mind and understands the risk and he wants to take it fine. I see it as no big deal to find out if he is vaccinated. With you, do you have children? Are you married? If so, it is not just about you anymore. It's about increasing your risk of catching something that could disable you or kill you or do the same to your spouse or make your kids ill. They need their parents. This is not the same as "well I could walk in front of a bus and be killed." The younger, helpless generation comes before the older generation who got to enjoy a complete life cycle.
