Internal, but they can create sinuses which drain to the outside.

No, I slept weird and, because I have disc degeneration, I pinched a nerve. I admit that I have been sitting way more this past year due to wah/covid/stress. I also gained 8 pounds.

That's part of it. I'm improving with PT, but the tailbone discomfort is bothersome.
