Wow. Stfu. |
She said she worked with the midwife who specialized in at-home inseminations. She tracked her ovulation, called on day of, midwife came over with tools (I don’t know if there was machine involved) and the midwife inserted sperm into cervix with some tool. She has two kids now, and also is in same sex marriage, so I believe her. |
| You can buy washed sperm. Midwives do do IUI so it’s an lower cost option. |
| You need to wash sperm before you inject it into your uterus. You can get a very bad infection otherwise. You can try artificial insemination. |
| We did an at home approach to cervical insemination during a period when I had recently had surgery and sex was uncomfortable. We just used a 3cc syringe for injecting. I found several websites and blogs written by same sex couples trying to conceive with a known donor. They gave useful tips like keeping the sperm between your thighs in a cup so it would stay the correct temp while it thinned out. I didn’t get pregnant, but I have other issues. It was the last ditch attempt before ivf. |
This problem will only get worse with the added stress of a needy baby. You are setting your husband up for a sexless marriage. Denial of intimacy is a form of emotional abuse and it won’t end well for the three of you. |

I'd get the pain checked out before anything. It sounds like endometriosis or something that could also also prevent you from getting pregnant.
I had a friend who had a lot of pain during sex and during her period. Her doctor kept telling her "just use lube, Tylenol, etc..." years passed, pain got worse. She visited 3 doctors, until one female doctor finally answered and ran a bunch of tests, and what it turned out that my friend had a condition similar to endometriosis and rare. she is now managing it, and although is not perfect, she's better. Go to a doctor that listens! |
OP has a history of trauma and is dealing with it. Glad your friend got help! |
