Weight loss when shorter than 5’

I’m 4’8” so feel your struggle. I have to eat much less than other people. I’ve never counted calories, but the only way for me to lose weight is a combo of cardio and weights (Beachbody 21 day fix is fantastic) and balanced eating with small portions. For me, something like 2 hard boiled eggs for breakfast, veggies/beans/little bit of cheese for lunch, lean protein and veg for dinner. If I eat carbs or dairy, I do it earlier in the day rather than later. My body looks best between 80 & 85lbs. Currently 87 because haven’t exercised in months plus too much Christmas treats.

That’s essentially how I’m eating now, and I find it pretty sustainable. My goal weight is 120 (maybe 115) - I don’t even know what I would look like at 90!

PP here. Losing is super hard for sure, but maintaining has always been fairly easy for me - though I am about to hit 40 so that will likely change. The most I’ve ever weighed was between 115 & 120 full term with each (of 3) pregnancies. My whole self is tiny, though. I envy women who are curvy. I gain fat in my stomach and arms... if only it went to boobs & hips!

If possible I would rather add in some activity. Do you have a fitness watch to give you a rough sense of much you are burning per day?

With calorie needs scaled for height, why wouldn’t nutritional needs? Someone who is 5’8” needs the same daily intake of vitamin k, calcium, magnesium as someone 4’9”?

Calories are scaled based on goal weight. A good rule of tumb is goal weight x 10-12 for your calorie range. If Goal weight is 120 lbs then calorie range of 1200-1440.
