Hi OP, I’m the PP you replied to. I’m past the stimulation phase and egg retrieval. The injections were a lot easier to manage than I expected, and the early morning monitoring was not particularly stressful given that DH and I are both WFH now anyway. Retrieval was last week and went well, thankfully. Waiting on news to see how many make it to day 5 this week and then we’ll do PGT. How are you? How have things been going? |
Congrats PP on finishing egg retrieval. Hope you get excellent results all throughout. I recently started shots as well and you’re right, after the first day they had been much easier than I expected. Retrieval will be early next week. |
Thank you- best of luck to you getting through the rest of stims and the retrieval. It goes by quick. Wishing you the best of luck 🤞🏻 |
How are you doing, PP? I have my retrieval tomorrow. I triggered last night and this morning, and feel like I’m going to explode! |
Everyone is different. For me, physical stress was not a factor. Mentally, I'm a pretty stoic person and decided I'm not going to let this rattle me. Pain is a part of life. What you can do to combat this is whatever you usually do to decompress. It's mostly your own mental toughness and your commitment to not taking it out on others. |
Hi! Good luck with your retrieval tomorrow. I felt so bloated before and after! It felt so relieving to get past it. I’m a few weeks out now, am feeling good, and am preparing for a frozen transfer in a few weeks. We are waiting in PGT results and hopefully get good news on that front. Rooting for you and hoping your retrieval and recovery go well. |
How are you, OP? Hope the retrieval went well and that you’re feeling good. |
Yes it went well! Got 13 mature eggs and 10 embryos. Will find out in a couple of days how many can be frozen for testing. Hope all is well on your end, PP. |
That’s great news! I’m still prepping for frozen transfer, hopefully next week. Wishing you all the best! |
Can you provide more detail for the practice? |
| OP and PP any updates? |

NP. I’m about week into my IVF regimen. No side effects at all yet (knock on wood!!) and the injections have gotten much less scary. So far I have not taken any time off work and no one has noticed I’m doing this. I let them know I’ll need one sick day off eventually (for retrieval) and no one asked for more info.
My biggest complaint is about the blood tests — I bruise easily and it’s hard to do them so often. |
