You can get an Acura RDX for that price. The SH-AWD is great.

Acura is one of the least reliable brands according to Consumer Reports.

Take a look at Mazda, they are #1 for reliability now.

I have the Subaru Outback. Great car, but definitely sluggish on acceleration.

There's a reason the Rav4 and CRV are the best selling vehicles in the U.S. (except for 3 pick up trucks).

DH drives a Rav4. I drive a CRV. He's planning to get another RAV 4 when the prime model is available. I can't see myself driving anything other than a CRV for the rest of my life. These two are just cars that do everything I want. Not too big. Still get good gas mileage. Can haul whatever I buy. Can fit all our stuff for the beach us 2 teens. Reasonable price, even with the extra safety features. Feel safe. Everyhing I want and need.

That is why I am looking at the turbo engine.

Recently got rid of my Audi Q5 for a Mazda CX-5 and so far so good. I typically lease my cars and don’t put a ton of miles on them (and barely any since I have been working from home). I was able to walk away from my Audi lease 7 months early, lease a 2020 Mazda CX-5 with most of the bells and whistles, and lower my monthly payments by $200/month (and insurance went down too). No regrets.
