4yo says she’s tired, but no fever/other symptoms?

Call your pediatrician or a nurse line.

Obviously.

Tested for being tired? I mean, who are you people?
OP, it’s the holidays. Your kid is probably wound up and not sleeping welll and I’m guessing they haven’t been getting enough outdoor time like mine. It’s normal. If it goes on for two more weeks then maybe call the doc if it’s setting something off in your gut, but c’mon. She’s tired. You’ve been parenting for four years at least. You don’t need to crowd source this. [/quote

Except OP says the kid is in full time daycare and probably was last there 7 days ago. If my kid started showing symptoms 4-7 days after they last attended preschool, I would assume Covid. My kids have been tested and it was torture for the 4yr old, but I’d still do it.

We all had covid back in April . The 10 year olds only symptom was that he was more tired . Never took a nap but would just randomly lay down in his bed . He also started going to bed around 6:30

Last year I would have agreed with you, but this year? Pandemic that’s killed hundreds of thousands of Americans and the kid is in daycare? Getting tested doesn’t hurt. If everyone did this maybe we wouldn’t have so many ill and dead.

Here is your answer. They are responsible parents. People know the difference between overtired for the holidays and fatigue from sickness. I mean really you can’t tell the difference? Too busy on DCUM? It is your parenting I’m questioning and your snark is misplaced. My 82 and 85 year Aunt and Uncle just recovered from COVID. Both of their symptoms started with being tired. It ended up being the only symptom of my horse of an uncle (who is on heart medication, obese and 85 years old!)
