Why do I act so childlike at almost 60?!

This is so sweet. That’s going to be a wonderful memory for her!

My favorite picture of my late Mom (lost her last year at 72, but her Mom still living at 98) is of her being goofy with my youngest (14). She was rarely silly, so the pic is priceless to me. Joy is a gift that keeps on giving. Your grandkids are very lucky.

I think you sound great and you are actually not "childlike" at all.
You know that your granddaughter loves these games, that kids need running and attention and you selflessly give it One day your granddaughter will remember this, not the candy and presents but this.
With age, you realize what is important and what is not. You are wiser than your DH and your son.

Probably because you aren't obese or suffering chronic pain.

Aww my mom is like t his at 74. Nerf gun fights, running through sprinklers, inventing games with DS, having bike races, riding their bikes through the rain, etc.

Not surprisingly, DS LOVES my mom. My MIL is a wonderful person but not so good at the small kid phase. DS is much less attached to her.

You're doing great OP!

Almost 60 isn't old. You should still be able to run around and be active.

+1. I mean, come on, OP. It's Because You're So Unique and Awesome.

Because you like to have fun!

DP. I'm with that person. This is a "tee-hee, why am I so different and awesome" post.

It’s like the grandma version of “I’m not like other girls.”

I’m jealous tbh. I want to be more like you.

So what if it is a humble brag? Can't grandma brag a bit at Christmas time?
If anything, OP posted something that many of us like to hear about.
