2nd graders decisions

Bump. Has anyone who applied in Nov found out yet?

haven't heard yet.
They have to let you know either way -- thus, the appeal. I wonder if there are issues with the post office? I wonder if they will extend if people haven't gotten the letters?

I'm guessing the private and home-school kids hear soon though given those dates.

I would have thought you would have heard at least a couple weeks ago if you have to appeal by Jan 7. That doesn't give you any time to prepare anything for the appeal. Not sure what the point of the appeal is then.

The Equity report did call out appeals as part of the problem and the WISC. I wouldn't be surprised to find that FCPS is deliberately shortening the appeals window in order to decrease the use of the WISC.

Eliminate wisc in appeals and defund AAP.

Stop already. Get off of the AAP forum and move on. You don't like the program. Talk to your school board rep. But... there should be an opportunity to challenge students. All kids do not learn the same way or at the same speed, and it is okay to put some resources towards kids that may benefit form the challenge. Not all AAP parents dream of TJ. They just don't want to see their kid bored in class.

Last year was an email followed by a letter. You might want to check your application and see what email you used. DH used a weird secondary to him email account and that is where the email went, it was frustrating.
