We have a lovely sectional sofa- brand new! But in order to keep the dog off it at night we cover it with musical instruments ( a guitar in a case, a conga drum, a small portable amp). And b/c nobody is visiting us these days, we just leave the stuff on the couch all the time. We sit at our desks to work, and the dining table or kitchen island for every thing else. Sad but true.
