Whole Foods Prime Now TOTALLY out of food

Anonymous
Hello neighbor. It’s not Whole Foods but the pick up from Giant (cathedral commons or westward) is very easy (you park and call and they bring the bags to your car). I’ve found getting windows is pretty easy and their selection of frozen (especially west bars) has been good, even as recently as Thursday (my last pick up). Good luck!

Sorry for the auto correct. That’s “Westbard”

The WF nearby in Friendship Heights is always horribly out of stuff. I always get random things taken out or random substitutions and no communication from them. It's the worst location I've ever seen

Are you using primenow or whole foods directly from the Amazon website? They are different. I've had no issue with Whole Foods directly from amazon.com including this morning. Everything I needed was available and I'm not too far from you.

Perhaps they had a restocking problem?

This is a novel suggestion, but you are aware that you can actually...go out and buy your own groceries. Put a mask on, and go get your own food.

People are aware they can go into stores, but some of us aren't so lucky and are in high risk categories, so online shopping (as recommended by the CDC) is our safest option.

NP but FWIW, none of the people I know who do exclusively online delivery or high risk. They just don't want to go to the store for whatever reason (busy with work, like having someone carry the groceries up the stairs, etc.). My friend who is immunocompromised from a transplant and cancer in remission goes to the grocery store in an N95 and gloves, which I think is crazy and I have asked if she wants us to do her shopping but she really prefers to do it herself.

So it really can vary and some people actually might need a little kick in the butt to just go to the store. A friend of mine who orders groceries because it's easier, and hasn't been to a store since March, keeps claiming that there are "shortages" of things, and we keep telling her that those things are available but might just not be online. She wants to just keep complaining about it. It's annoying.

Amazon has ruined WF.

Are you sure you know all those people’s personal medical histories though? I’m on an immunosuppressant and doing curbside pickup, but I’m certainly not telling everyone about my medical issues. When people ask how I am, I say “Fine, how are you doing?”

Peapod was completely normal this week.
I put in an order on Wednesday for Friday morning delivery. No problem. Plenty of delivery times available and no unusual out of stock items.
Got my full order, including flour (on sale), milk, produce, meat, etc.

It's a glitch with Amazon lasting since Friday evening. No meat, seafood, eggs or dairy for Whole Foods delivery for zip codes 20008 and 20007 (at least). Called Tenleytown WF and they were surprised and confirmed they don't have a stock problem. I then called Amazon customer service, got transferred to the Amazon Fresh department, they confirmed it's strange that everything "animal-related" looks out of stock for these zip codes. (It's not just related to the Tenleytown store.) I assumed it would be fixed by now but nothing yet.

This is in NOVA but I ordered and received my complete order today (no subs).

Which I totally enjoy because BIL was a stuck up WF snob and it’s now apoplectic about its current state. It’s the small pleasures these days.

I love WF and it's been acceptable under Amazon leadership. Given the alternative, we can't complain.

Weird - must be a glitch. Got a WF delivery (including animal related products!) in CCMD today from FH WF.
