Hybrid. DD is in 6th so she doesn’t have anything else to compare her middle school experience with. I don’t think she’ll be disappointed. But I would be shocked if they send kids back. |
We initially picked hybrid but kid is a senior and said by the time I go back I will have senioritis and won't want to go any way. We may switch to DL. It's up to her. |
Initially picked hybrid, but will be switching to DL. |
One of mine is picking DL. We are still pondering the other. But likely DL as well. It doesn’t seem like coming in gives you anything but increased risk if you’re doing OK in DL now and you have support at home. Our school has said the instruction will be identical (that is, on devices) either way because they have to teach both at once. Our school also pretty much admitted that when concurrent deploys it is going to be worse than the current DL for all groups from an instructional and academic standpoint. That’s my assessment too. |
Both hybrid. They love sleeping in but are ready to walk to school, etc. just to be anywhere but home. It's only 2 days a week. |
That seems like your kids are going in with their eyes open. If you want a change of scenery and are comfortable with the risk, hybrid seems like an option. Expecting it to be a better instructional situation is a different story. I do wonder if a lot of kids and parents are going to be unpleasantly surprised by how unlike regular in person school it is. |
