VCU vs JMU

They are both excellent at what they are and what they do. VCU is actually better regarded in Europe than what we in the US appreciate - it is an internationally known research university. It actually outranks William & Mary on the ARWU. JMU is an excellent large-size public liberal arts college. But they’re really tough to compare to each other - one is a rural liberal arts school and one is an urban multi-versity that has more graduate and professional students than it has undergrads. I’m not sure that the same student lifestyle preferences would be equally at home at both.
