Anddd... NYC just closed schools

Anonymous
The 3% number was what the unions forced on worthless deblasio this summer. Now that the number is meaningless and there haven't been outbreaks in the schools the unions are still forcing the closure. And deblasio is a moron and can't stand up to his own shadow so he has no choice.

Is that just in NYC? Is it 5% in the rest of the state?

So much for the threads defensively screaming "THEY'RE NOT GOING TO DO THAT!!"

LOL

Exactly. And they are being MUCH more careful in NYC than we are here.

What do you base this on? Have you spent time up there recently?

DC's numbers are better than NY.

Yes. In Manhattan and up river on the Hudson. I've also been to the Hamptons in case you care.

Here’s a poignant article about what happens with remote learning. Everyone should read it.

Meanwhile doctors are quitting. We need to give on something or the spread will gut the medical profession. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/15/health/Covid-doctors-nurses-quitting.html

Well, how about we give up those things that have been shown to actually cause spread-indoor dining, etc. Instead of the thing that has been shown to not cause much spread??

Oh well. They’re closing boutique medical practices with easy jobs. Time to put that medical degree to use and work for a hospital.

Don’t people get it?? Covid isn’t being transmitted in school. I know teachers are freaked out, but all the protocols work. Masks. Spacing. Controlled lines. Desks apart. Special dismissals. Etc.

People need to check their anxiety because it is absolutely the reason children are not getting educated. And these aren’t affluent kids whose mom or dad can tutor them or help them. They’re children living in poverty. It’s unbelievable that we are letting this happen.

NO NO EVERYONE!

We need schools open, right now. Hey parents like (fake parent) me, let’s organize! The unions are the problem! Public schools get too much money! My taxes are too high! Let’s force schools to open to break the unions and get parents to hate the schools and pull out their kids.

Never let a crisis go to waste! Open schools now no matter who gets hurt!
