Do you eat homemade food from neighbors?

Yes, we have.

Depends on the neighbor.

My neighbor makes heavily homemade cinnamon rolls. She delivers them on my birthday and several other times throughout the year as a surprise. At first I thought it was a one time kind gesture, but I’ve learned she loves to bake and giving gifts brings her joy. Who am I to stomp out that joy or the buttery, warm cinnamon rolls.

Of course I do. How obnoxious to accept food that someone has taken the time and effort to make and just throw it away. If you won’t eat it make a polite excuse.

Only of a neighbor who are friends, because I know they are clean, not just a random neighbor.

Omg I feel so bad for you miserable people.

Yes! It so bizarre to me that people wouldn’t. I fill up my plate with deliciousness at neighborhood pool potlucks too (or at least I used to). Have had plenty of yummy treats and no I’ll effects in 40 years of living this way.

My neighbors do not give me homemade food. They do take homemade food from me - a lot. Then they tell me how much they would have paid for my food in a restaurant. LOL!!

How strange that now factory produced food is more trustworthy than homemade.

I'm not miserable. I'm happy to NOT be eating food that has cat hair in it. I'm happy to NOT be eating food prepared by hands that wiped shit and didn't get washed. Don't you understand that different people want different levels of involvement from their neighbors? I'm perfectly content giving a vague smile as I hurry along on my way. I don't need to be all up in your business hearing about your mother in law's anal prolapse and how it's affecting your husband's ability to get an erection.

If it looks good!

We have a group of neighbors that have become our friends. We socialize with them and host potlucks and dinners all the time. We are all eating each other's homemade food. Thankfully, everyone cooks well and none of us have pets or bad habits. Everyone is house proud and we trust each other. It is cultural. We are immigrants and we have delicious food. What's not to like.

Yeah, this is making me feel bad and weird about myself. I make homemade baked goods and have given them to neighbors. I’ve also made food for parties and dropped food off for people. I really do spend a lot of time thinking about what to make, looking up multiple recipes, and I spend on the best ingredients. It makes me sad that people might just be dumping the food. And it makes me feel weird or stupid for bothering to make anything.

Yeah, if PPs knew how many bug parts and hair is probably in their clean processed food.
