Do you eat homemade food from neighbors?

I assume restaurants don’t let cat son their counters or use gnawed on chicken bones in soup.

No the cats don't run on the counters. But the rats do.

I think every family we know has at least one cat or dog. Haven't y'all heard of the hygiene hypothesis? A little dirt (and dog fur) is good for you.

We eat pretty much all gifted homemade food. I've never seen fur in our own food or food from friends, and if I did I'd pluck it out and move on. When we bring food I take a bit of extra care, but our friends and neighbors have followed up to ask for recipes so they are either exceedingly polite fakers or they're enjoying our cooking too.

Dogs, no. Cats, yes. I've seen it too often to ignore.

I make kimchi and sauerkraut for my neighbors. My home is childfree and pet free, plus I’m very hygienic. It really depends on the person.

are we still talking about this?

The only thing I wouldn't eat is if small children helped make it - gross.

You are confident that every adult who makes you cookies washes their hands but no children would?

I happily accepted Christmas cookies from my neighbors when I moved into my new home. They were delicious.

Wow! People can be so judgmental. All the person asked is if you would eat your neighbor's food. It depends. When COVID first started my neighbor continuously brought cupcakes and treats over for my children. Foods her children had prepared. Went straight into the trashcan. I was seriously wondering, what's wrong with this women. We were a year out from getting a vaccine. To make matters worse, she just left the food on the steps. Yuck! No way I'm risking getting my kid sick. That's more work for me. No one should have a problem with how someone else chooses to live their life. As long as they're not forcing how they do things on you, why would you care? And regarding some of the other posts, name calling...so childish.

Even if the small is apple pie? Or cinnamon rolls? What about sautéed onions and peppers?
My husband is a wonderful cook and our house always smells of whatever he is cooking.
No cats.
Kitchen counters bleached every night.

Maybe she thought she was being a good neighbor? I hope you told her to stop since she was wasting money and time on someone who judges and doesn't deserve good things neighbor gave.

Stomach acid does wonders. Unless I had some reason to be grossed out, of course I'd eat it. I also eat at friends' houses. And bring baked goods to my neighbor (who certainly seems to enjoy them).

You're right, I'm sorry. The correct word is hypocrisy.

You have a seriously screwed up understanding of how Covid is transmitted.
