GAP is soccer mom style clothing |
| My 13 YO is only wearing ripped jeans these days, too - in addition to the ones listed she shops at Tilly's (online). As you've probably seen, Gap has a teen/tween line now. She also likes some items from Zara. |
I also second Tilly's. My 12 YO is 5'4 and about 85 pounds. Depnding on the item she can wear some things from the women's section or from the kids' section. There are lots of affordable options. Here are some examples from the kids' section. https://www.tillys.com/product/rsq-girls-girlfriend-jeans/374507825.html?dwvar_374507825_color=825&cgid=kids-girls-jeans-pants#start=39 https://www.tillys.com/product/tractr-mid-rise-destructed-girls-ankle-skinny-jeans/396565597.html?dwvar_396565597_color=597&cgid=kids-big-girls#start=1 |
I just looked at their website. They have a “Playboy” collection. WTF! |
But they also have ESPRIT! |
Prude much? I get your DD is only 13 but loosen up. I can't even to imagine your reaction once she gets to HS and you find out what goes on there. |
| My DD, 13, hated jeans. She just recently started wearing them in general. She asked me for some ripped jeans. I have no problem with ripped jeans. The one thing that I will not allow is huge rips at the thighs because I think it’s gross and it happens to be a dress code violation at school. I’m not going to spend money on pants she can’t wear to school. I just recently went to target when they opened at 7 AM and picked out about eight pairs of jeans with various washes, rips and legs and brought them home to her. She was in heaven and picked out three that she really loved. Like I said I have no problem with the rips except for large ones high on the thighs. I was happy to pay $40 or less for these items. I refuse to pay exorbitant prices for a pair of jeans, so there’s no way unless she wants to pay for them but she’s getting jeans The cost over $100. Meanwhile, she could care less about brand and she’s in heaven because they’re ripped. |

My current 8th grader grew 4 inches in one year and has a closet full of AE regular and ripped skinny jeans and mom jeans and ripped skinny jeans. She hasn’t worn any of these since Feb., The skinny ones from last year no longer fit well. The ripped (destructed) jeans are against her private HS school dress code she starts next year. Is there a resale market for size 4/6 skinny and ripped skinny jeans?
For the OP, check out urban Outfitters BDJ (?) brand and for a little more you can buy the Top Shop brand at Nordstrom. |
| Abercrombie |
My brand snob daughter also loves the Target jeans. Especially when she found out how many pairs she could get and still stay within budget. Found some cute sweaters there also. |
