Because the police are doing such a great job at preventing crime. Like thefts from cars, bike thefts, dangerous drivers, burglaries, muggings. We all in DC know how great a job MPD does on that. It's why the numbers go down. Definitely not that they won't take a report. We should just have them crack some skulls of "suspicious people" to make a point. Then crime will go down even more! Your view on this is not surprising, since it aligns with homicide statistics as well. Your black kid is much more likely to be shot by a black civilian than a cop.

Well good news, the abolishment of cops is a fringe belief held by a tiny minority of people that will never gain traction. "Defund the Police" is not about the abolishment of cops, it's about policing reform so glad to have you on our side!
