Blow dryers $$$ vs $: What differences for you?

I need a blow dryer, one that won't fry my hair and is also lightweight. I have medium hair, not difficult to style.

I love the idea of the Dyson, but I can't justify forking over $400 when I'm sure there are others on the market that can get the job done without needing to break the bank.

Budget Max: $250 if that's possible.

I love my dryer from DryBar. It's lasted me a few years and I have a lot of hair. I would recommend.

Is it the yellow one? Buttercup?

I was given the Dyson as a gift and I LOVE it.

My wavy hair is smoother, less frizzy and generally looks good. Plus I can have it all dry in less than 10 minutes.

dyson sometimes has refurbished ones for sale.

The Dyson hairdryer is cheaper (by a bit) thank the Airwrap. I can’t decide if the extra hair tools are worth it.

You can get 20% off the Dyson if you buy from Ulta and open a store credit card.

NP. Your "sweetie" is kind of condescending, but I am going to ignore it because these links ARE very helpful and this has come up a gazillion times.

I will re-post my original comment on one of these for OP as someone who has similar hair. Unsung hero. Stylists like but doesn't have the branding of a Drybar or a Dyson (tried both and prefer this).

This is above your price range, but I am going to mention it because I have owned it for...let's see. 24 years! I bought it from my salon for 200 dollars way back then and it is still my favorite, and I have tried several of the newer higher end ones. This thing is POWERFUL and dries hair (mine is like yours) very, very quickly. Almost everything else I'm like, "why is this taking FOREVER!?" It looks like they have even more powerful ones, but this is the version I own. It has to have basically paid for itself at this point and is still kicking like day 1.

I'm gonna just tell you that the Dyson is worth the $500. It really is that good. The dryer + styler components make my hair look salon quality. I could never achieve this with a brush + dryer. The Air Wrap tool literally sucks your hair around the wand, it's magic. Sell something in your closet, skip lunch in March, get a P/T job at Ulta... whatever you have to do - get it.

That's the one! I am waiting for my double shot to arrive now. The Dyson one is not worth $550. It's not even in stock.
