I'm looking to replace my cheap Revlon hair dryer.....

Anonymous
I have a DryBar hair dryer which I love, but I just do my roots with it and then use the Revlon for the rest of it. I despise using a round brush and a normal dryer, it is too much work on my arms and takes too long and makes it so straight. Can anyone recommend a replacement for the Revlon? Something nicer? DryBar version or Dyson? I'd splurge for the right product I guess. I have thick coarse hair and don't use any after shampoo product, only wash it 3-4 times a week after I exercise.

Is there a brush that is as powerful as a real hair dryer but won't fry your hair like the Revlon does?

Is your hair curly or wavy at all?

Is the Revlon you're using now a brush-dryer combo, or just a dryer?

I’ve seen some really bad reviews for the DryBar version of the Revlon one. I was thinking I’d switching but stopped when I saw some. Curious to hear if anyone has any ideas. Do you use a heat protectant spray? I do and it made a world of difference. Would be willing to switch, though, if anyone had an alternate product that didn’t require it.

If you’re referring to the DryBar round brush dryer, I’d avoid. It fries my hair.

The dying airwrap set. Worth it.

The Revlon fried my hair too. Switched to the Dyson. It is trickier to use but definitely not as drying.

Which Dyson? I couldn't really shop on the site because it's sold out.

I have thick coarse hair and it took me awhile to find out how to really use the Revlon brush/dryer...now I love it! It has done amazing things to my hair and it was notoriously difficult to work with. Before springing for the Dyson would highly recommend doing a little research on the blogs to see how it could work better for you. Things that worked for me

- Use it when your hair is 70% dry
- Use the low setting
- Use very small chunks of hair
- Invest in some good hair oil

After doing the above the Revlon tool has been a game changer

Revlon thingy totally fried my hair.

I have the Dyson Airwrap which does the same thing, with a bunch more attachments, and it's awesome. Gentle but effective.

That seems like such a waste of time. Do you let your hair air dry to 70% or do you dry it with another dryer and then switch to the Revlon Air Fryer?

What Revlon hair dryer are you talking about? Link or name?
