| Life is good when this is your biggest problem. |

The street is plowed. Which is more than most people have. If the busy body neighbor really wants to help (she is able), they can bring people to important, dire medical treatments. There are plenty of people who need medical transportation. It's all over the news.
Actually, the street shovelers are usually the ones minding everyone else's business. They can just do it better from the street, in the snow, apparently. Who knew? Busy bodies are NOT what they are cracked up to be, for the record. Seldom do they notice when they are supposed to - when something (like a real crime, break in, whatever) is happening in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, from experience. But they are the first to notice things close to their own, shallow heart! In my neighborhood, it is a control issue. The ones that feel they "were there first" (HAHAHA) try to dictate to others what to do. With the shovel woman neighbor, I don't see her point in telling people where SHE wants people to drive. She knows nothing. Certainly nothing about snow. She needs to give herself something worthwhile to do. The busy body neighbor telling people her opinion of how they should be driving (or not) is NOT helping anyone. Blizzard or not. So busy body neighbor, yes, this is also true in the summer. Buy yourself some shades. ***PP, are YOU the busy body headache neighbor always causing trouble for neighbors and not really helping?*** Sounds that way! I'll send you some wine, so you can be drunk AND crazy. |
| Wow, sounds like OP is very passionate about this post! |
Hilarious! |
OP here - If I only I could have been so lucky... but no I was out actually shoveling my parking space and a couple others. So no peeking out the window for me. |
| Why didn't you say anything to her if you were out there? |
|
OP is not the only one with crazy neighbors. Consider yourselves lucky if you don't have them, really. They can be quite bored and quite relentless. We have one that goes overboard with a point she is trying to make, and always alienates someone (a neighbor). Just NOT a wise neighboring policy. OP, I will trade you my crazy neighbor for you. Then our two whacko neighbors (and any others) can live in the same neighborhood and mind each others business. How long do you think that will last?

I'm sorry. Some people are just destined to have people hate them. PP, if you can turn a guy shoveling snow into a symbol of all that is wrong with neighbors, there is no hope for you. |

"PP, if you can turn a guy shoveling snow into a symbol of all that is wrong with neighbors..."
It is not. Some neighbors with such "energy" need to do the proper action with that energy, instead of negatively impacting others (whether or not they are trying to). A little common sense and a little foresight goes a long way. If they had it/used it, there wouldn't be so many neighbors apprehensive of them (even if they "mean well"). Such "neighbors" really alienate people and discredit themselves. Clearly you have been lucky to have not experienced this. Count your blessings. And your peaceful neighborhood. I feel bad for some of our neighbors who have really met the wrath of this woman under more serious circumstances. The snow incidents are one of the more lighter moments. But really, she has problems. It's not nice to have next door to you. Again, consider yourself lucky. |

I'm going to start naming names and addresses, soon! |
| This must be the last thing left to bitch about. The shelves of the complaint store are completely bare, stripped clean like the Safeway. |
Wow, the lack of self-awareness here is stunning. Why don't you help bring people to important, dire medical treatments instead of complaining about your neighbor on the internet? You keep harping about what a busy body she is, why don't you mind your own business and let her shovel the street? |
| It's like a Seinfeld episode. Everyone and everything annoys them. |
