Being a good mom and wife

-^ oh and the kids. Boys 12&15. They fight each other over who gets to do more chores because they earn screen time that way. I came out of my office to the older one fighting with the younger one that wanted to vacuum his own room.

Husbands idea. Pure genius—they clean up each afternoon, walk the dog, vacuum, take trash out, mow the lawn, clean their bathroom, empty the dishwasher.

I’m basically just doing my day job and Peloton and putting out at night.

If you’re single and want to be a good wife/mom, pick the right husband.

Find a man who is a giver and will always put your needs first. The kind of guy who, when you come home after a bad day at work, draws you a bath and lets you relax while he makes dinner, then listens to you complain about your day without offering any advice. And who will also make sacrifices in his career and lifestyle when kids come along. And who willingly goes to therapy and reads relationship books.

It’s so hard to be a good wife or mom when you’re constantly being drained day in and day out.

From my FIL’s (a*hole) perspective...
Good wife: submissive, letting the man do the talk; cooking two times/ day and cleaning; wearing an apron; saying yes to everything.
Good mother: abandoning profession and hobbies, being submissive, cooking 24/7.
