Gray rock her. Don’t tell her why. Be polite, but no more lunches, no more vacations. It is over. Hopefully, she will get message and leave the firm.
From here on in, NEVER refer any friend or relative to your workplace.The ending is never pretty and this is the lesson you learned.

Yup. I had to do this with someone over situation involving my spouse (we all work at the same large agency). It sucks. I haven't run into her, but if it comes up I might give a short explanation, but I hope that doesn't happen.
