| Are you naming a pharmaceutical company? |
| Neither? |
| Imogen. |
| Astrid is lovely! I went to school with an Astrid, who was wonderful. No one made fun of her name. |

| Awful! Sounds like you are trying to hard to be unique. |

Astrid is a family name for me (mom was Swedish) so I love it.
The reactions to some “foreign” names on this board make me think some of y’all don’t get out much. |

This. What’s your name, op? If it’s something traditional like Emily or Claire, then do you think it’s fair to saddle your kid with such an unusual name? In addition to Assturd, there’s Asteroid. |
| I like Astrid, but if your child i going to be spending the majority of her time int the USA go with Imogen. |
Yup. OP, don’t listen to this crew. They think Caroline is the one name to rule them all
|
| Astrid! Imogen is going to sound dated/like you were trying too hard - if not now then in the very near future. |
| Another vote for Astrid. I think it's a lovely name. |

I think Astrid is pretty, but I wouldn’t give my child a name with Ass in it.
When the How to Train Your Drqgon movie came out, which has boys named things like Fishlegs and Snoutlout and a girl named Astrid, I commented to my kid that it was weird, and he said “I know the boys names are just silly why do they have to name the girl a curse word? It’s not fair.” I like Imogen. |
