So I guess he’s beyond toddler age now but my 4yo is all about being a kitchen helper, so I’m trying to encourage it. Things like muffins or pancakes are really easy for him to help with. I have a recipe for fairly healthy pumpkin cookies that he likes, it’s in a cookbook but similar to this: https://www.yummytoddlerfood.com/recipes/desserts/healthy-chocolate-chip-pumpkin-cookies/ Not that we don’t get store bought snacks too! |
| Morning Glory muffins! The whole family loves these, and they're got lots of fruit and nuts in them, so feel pretty healthy. https://bellyfull.net/morning-glory-muffins/ |
Try sprinkling Strawberry Quick drink mix on your popcorn. It sounds gross but is actually pretty good. |
| Smoothies, but then pour extra into popsicle forms and later they have smoothie pops. Bonus- takes them a bit to eat them, giving me a few minutes to do other things |
For a toddler? |

Popcorn is not a good idea for a toddler snack.
The Whirley Pop is a great popcorn maker though! For an occasional treat, homemade muffins, quick breads or cookies are our favorites. |
Some people enjoy making food for/with their families? |
Mine are the same way. I bought this book and they love to flip through and pick out the recipes to make. It's all kid-friendly: https://shop.americastestkitchen.com/kids-products/my-first-cookbook.html |
You know kids under 4 aren’t supposed to have popcorn, right? Choking hazard. |
