no, but i think shady grove honors the aetna negotiated discount for individual cycles? i am happy with bcbs and am doing shared risk donor egg so exploring that never seemed useful. |
| $5k a cycle each for 3 cycles (with insurance) $15k total |
| We had insurance coverage, but still probably spent $4000 for meds and $1500 for PGS testing. I'm guessing another $1500 or so for deductible + storage fees + copays, so about $7000. I'm currently 36 weeks with our first FET. We have 5 PGS tested embryos left - so I'm hoping the large expenses are pretty much done. |
| $12k 1 round overseas including meds |
|
Three cycles of natural IVF with Dominion, probably $17-18K total, ended in healthy live birth.
Two completed cycles with transfer, around $6500 a cycle, and one cancelled cycle with arrested embryo, they gave us $1400 credit because no transfer. So total about 6500*3-1400 ~ 16K. With drug/injection for $200-300, and misc, probably 17K-18K. |
What is the Aetna negotiated discount? |
| At least $30k. We did 3 rounds out of state. Insurance covered the cycles but not meds or PGS. Between meds, travel and testing, it was at least $10k per cycle out of pocket, probably more. |
I hear you - I switched jobs a couple of times partially to restart the insurance coverage. Still, all in we were over $50k out of pocket over 5 cycles. |
| GW with insurance. about 11k for drugs, 3 retrievals with icsi and 3 transfers, although we paid OOP for 2 of the transfers in order to avoid hitting the cap for our insurance, which would stop paying for everything after 3 transfers. |
| 1 round with icsi bc it worked about $6000. Natural cycle. |
| $0 It was covered by insurance and we didn’t need to do IVF as we got pregnant before then. |
|
No insurance and it took 4 egg retrievals to bank 3 PGS normal embryos.
First was a miscarriage, second took, third still on ice. $80k |
