How are you preparing for Tuesday Night's storm?

I still can't get out of my street. I need food! I hope like hell they plow tonight.

Washing dishes and doing laundry while we still have power. Going for groceries in the morning. Drinking.

I did a little shopping today and was relieved to find that the the grocery store was being restocked as I shopped.

The alert is no more, people. I don't think that we are getting a snowstorm afterall.

I have school aged kids. We just can't find any time alone, and by night fall, man I'm aching from all the shoveling!

I'm still hearing "blizzard" but only 5 to 10 inches of snow, now. I'll take it!

No, WaPo acknowledges that their numbers are much less than those of the Natl Weather Service and the local news' meteorologists, but they are going to revisit their calculation with new data around 11pm and may revise their estimate upward.

Nothing has changed except that the storm increasingly looks more severe.

I just read 10-20 inches. Since we just had our power restored, I'm catching up on laundry and work. I know I'll definitely run to the grocery store in the am. Seriously wanting this to be over.

We also just got back after a power outage. We were able to make it to a hotel about 2 miles away on Saturday but it was the scariest ride of my life. The prospect of repeating that tomorrow or Wednesday literally makes me sick to my stomach. I wish I could figure out anything I could do to make it easier this time around. Honestly if you keep your power, consider yourself so lucky. My kids drive me crazy too, but it's a zillion times easier in your own house...

We lost power too, and I have a pit in my stomach thinking about tomorrow.

It's like that movie.... Denis Quaid.... "The Day After Tomorrow".... where there's a sudden ice age and he hikes in to save Jake Gyllenhall. Everybody who survived had to go live in Mexico.

Just to put it in perspective

Yes, me too. Hot showers all around, blow dry the hair, and tomorrow I am going to CRANK the heat up in the hopes that if the power goes out again, the house will stay warmer, longer.
