| I filled out that form and felt like they still asked me 50 questions upon arrival (between pushes). Didn’t seem to do much that I had completed it in advance! |
Bah, I'm slightly annoyed. I had an appointment today where I asked my doctor about this and she just said i needed to fill out a paper form, but didn't give me anything. I guess I have to drive to WHC? Seems very strange now. How is this form not available online, even to download and mail. I guess I'll call the number - thanks all! |
I’m sure you can just call the Admissions number and answer the questions over the phone. I work in health IT, and share your frustration about the lack of digital resources in health care! |
| Just call admissions but I’m not sure you even need it. It’s just your same insurance info etc again. |

Hey I know this was back in Sept, so I was wondering if I could revive this thread.
Any changes since September? Can partners leave and come back? |
I asked the midwives at my last visit a week ago and they said partners can leave once per day in postpartum. Haven't delivered yet though. Also, I have been told that there are no wireless monitors, there's apparently a nationwide shortage. I'm very bummed about that. |
| Can you partner accompany you in ultrasounds and appts? |
I delivered in October. My husband could come with me to appts towards the end but not ultrasounds. |
Yes, right now partners can come to appointments and ultrasounds. |
| Does anyone know if the WHC perinatal staff (like ultrasound techs) have had their first vaccines yet? I know the midwives have had theirs |
| Are the postpartum rooms private or shared? |
I have my first appointment with the midwives there in a couple weeks, and was told my husband should not come. It's my second though, and I didn't push. |
Mine was private. Small, old, and perfectly serviceable. But the labor room was much nicer. |
Huh. My husband was finally able to come to one two weeks ago. Worth asking again if you really want him there. He was also at an ultrasound yesterday. |
They’re all private, thank goodness! |
