Even Marie Kondo has given them the thumbs up for this series.

Lol Marie mondo is not a minimalist but I get why you’d think so. I get it it looks nice but if your pantry is clean you just arrange that stuff on a shelf witouth the need for boxes and it looks as good. I just don’t get it.

I have 8 plates for a family of four and that’s it and they’re clean on the shelf. I don’t hoard food and snacks and baking stuff and pasta and seasoning is on their own shelves. Shows like these bother me because it jusT enables and justifies the need and constant accrual of stuff. If you can’t find it and if it’s not neat by its own then I get it you need hoarder help. They’re just capitalizing on people having things and material boards but heck I’ll hate watch lol

Uh, ok. Good luck to you.

If that makes you laugh, you’ll probably want to hate watch too. The rainbow/color sorting it their schtick.

I watch it and enjoy getting inspired. I don’t think I would enjoy working with them in their business. But if I had the money, I’d totally hire them to organize some rooms.

Even if you are a minimalist, they advise to have drawers with organized slots. Not one big desk drawer, or kitchen gadget drawer. The outcomes are very visually appealing.

I paid someone to do this for me when we moved into our new house (not these people but a similar service). Anyway, it's REALLY hard to keep up with it. It only makes sense if you are a housewife with kids in school all day or employ a daily housekeeper who also does your grocery shopping.

It makes my eyes itch to see avocados in a refrigerator. The unopened jarred items, tortillas (and I think I see crackers) are weird too.

Who is going to give their family a lesson about putting away the cereal according to color?

My kids would be down for it. They like fun “projects”.

Every meal cleanup, forevermore. That’s quite a project. “No! The Cheerios are YELLOW. They can’t go next to the PURPLE Raisin Bran! Put them next to the Bisquick!”

Pfft anyone can be like them if you spend hundreds on “product” at the container store.

The Reese Witherspoon fangirlling in the first episode made me gag. It wasn't very helpful advice, and ... the cringing.

Does that part get better?

I couldn’t take it

At the start of the pandemic the two of them were traveling a lot (probably finishing up filming the series) but were extremely frightened of catching covid on a plane. They caused a scene during boarding on one flight and were asked to deboard.

Between that and the constant marketing of “stuff” on IG, I’m kind of turned off but did enjoy the Marie Kondo series, so might end up watching at some point.

I did pick up on her personality. I'm off to google her plane freakout.

Me too!

I watched some of the show. The personalities are over the top. If you told me that the whole thing was actually one big parody and Kristen Schaal was somehow involved, I would believe you.

I have heard unpleasant stories about how they treat people IRL. Won’t be watching their show.

Well, Clea’s house upgrade in the middle of a pandemic has now been explained. Thanks, Netflix!

All of that. A full jar of unopened Rao's? The unopened dressing on the right fridge door, the glass jars of....flour? on the top shelf. The cracker and snacky looking carbs in the door shelf? Why? Why would you keep any of that in the fridge? The herbs just randomly shoved on a shelf instead of in a crisper drawer irks me as well.
