As much as I love Buffy, i’d wait a little longer for this one.

PLL is not a kid show. It’s gross and glorfies bullying and students sleeping with their teachers.

I haven’t seen the revival, but I used to watch the original while babysitting when I was 13-14, and some of these scared the bejesus out of me.

White Collar is another good show in the Psych/Chuck/Monk mold.

I forgot psyche! That is great!

Monk. My kids, 14 and 11, thought it was funny.

My 11yo loves House of Anubis.

Ugh, no. Annoying show.

Anonymous wrote:My kids (14, 11) have enjoyed watching Murder, She Wrote, but that may be due to (1) a running joke about how Jessica Fletcher actually commits all the murders, and (2) the technology is so painfully old that they are amazed that society could function in such archaic times.

I love Murder, She Wrote! Admittedly, I am 52!

Not exatly mysteries, but she might like Merlin or Star Trek Next Generation.

It would depend on the teen, but I'm working my way through The Mentalist and really enjoying it. It honestly feels a lot like an updated Murder, She Wrote. There is an ongoing storyline with a serial killer, so that may be too disturbing for some. (Usually that type of thing is too disturbing for ME but for some reason it doesn't bother me with this one.)

Movie recommendations
- All Hitchcock... the Man Who Knew Too Much is a good one to start with. Also recommend Rear Window.

- Charade (not Hitchcock but similar style)

- How to Steal a Million Dollars (caper/heist)

- Knives Out (there is a bloody scene or too but probably not too bad)

- Murder on the Orient Express

I had a terrible time with the Red John story line. Loved the mentalist though! Cho was my favorite character!

If your kid has the Netflix password they’ll watch whatever they want whether you’re aware or not. Usually in that case it’s Grey’s Anatomy, Orange is the new Black, etc
