Likely normal and, therapy couldn't hurt. Dialectical Behavioral therapy focuses on skills for kids to use when interacting with parents, teachers, peers.

I highly recommend this book:

Sounds like my experience with my 12 year old daughter recently, who recently shouted at me on a walk, “ARE YOU DEAF?” Why, no, I’m not dear....😬

Living it myself right now with 12yo DD. They need opportunities to separate from parents, and it's tough with covid. I am encouraging outside time, walking, biking, meeting a friend. I try to be humble when I am not flexible enough and apologize to model good behavior. It is hard. And I need to reread the teen crazy book.

Is she is a growth spurt? Kids need more sleep then. I am pretty easy going, but if I were in desperate need of sleep and somebody woke me up, I'd be a raging bitch.

I was going to recommend this book too! Really worth your time to read (or listen to if that’s better for you).
