Clearly he did not want me to know about these purchases. Things are tight right now with us having to pay a lot more for child care due our prior center going bankrupt and closing it’s doors. I’m so hurt, no the purchases weren’t anything bad, but I am so upset that he tried to hide them from me. I feel like this is a huge trust issue. What do I do?

Do you have two prime accounts? That makes no sense.

Two emails can share the same prime account. I can't see my husband's orders on Amazon.

I did not know that!

+1 We have different profiles and I can't see his orders (until I accidentally open the packages thinking they're mine...)

it's the intentional sneakiness of the locker that makes this icky.

Must have been quite the expensive dildo!

You talk to him about it, and then you go from there. Explain it to him just like you did us and ask him what’s up.

She can’t confront him because it will come out that she snooped on his account.

I confronted him, I told him exactly how I came across it.

He said he bought the items with money from some things he had sold. (He is always selling gear and outdoor stuff) He admitted that he was worried I’d try and convince him to save the money and tell him that he was being irresponsible with it and he felt like it was his money to spend however he wanted.

If my husband sold a bunch of stuff and used the proceeds to buy something I’d be fine with it unless we had problems putting food on the table. I sell a lot of stuff on EBay and CL and I don’t hand the money over to my husband.

Sound like my wife. Every time I tell her about stuff I want to buy, she told me I don’t need it or it’s too expensive.

That seems pretty reasonable. Everyone needs their own discretionary budget and if he was just trading his own stuff that seems like it should be his business.

While this has been overlooked, it is the only relevant first question.

As indeed it was.

You don't understand. OP feels any money is community money, and she has veto power over it. That's why her husband didn't tell her about the purchase.

Your opinion only and incorrect. For example when my ex and I divorced, everything in all accounts was community property (shared halfsies) unless it was specifically an inheritance that was kept separate since receiving it.
