Lost - Juliet's dying words

I admit I was riveted for 2 hours last night, but every time I watch Lost, I swear I'm quitting and am not watching the next week (and then, there I am, glued to the TV the next week).

I really don't have the emotional energy for this, yet I can't stop myself from watching and getting totally enmeshed in the bazillion tangled plot lines, looking things up online the next day (consequently wasting hours of time). TV is supposed to be an escape, and this clearly is not. Thank God it's the final season - I couldn't take another season.

You sound exactly like my husband! I always fall asleep during the show and he gives me an update the next day. I asked him if he wanted the box set for Christmas and he said - no way, I can't go through it again!!!

I don't watch it and OP is a jerk. The title of the post is already saying someone died. that's not cool.

Also, "smoke monster" is obviously John's avatar. But, what is the "smkoke monster?" The bad island spirit? And Jacob is the good island spirit? The good and bad forces of the island?

Yes, this is correct - although "good" and "bad", with Lost, are relative terms. But Jacob and the smoke monster/John are adversaries.

You are stupid for looking.

Oooh, I like the name-calling. I'm rubber and you're glue! Ha, ha, now YOU'RE stupid!

Anyway, it's in the TITLE of the thread! How hard is it to title your post "Lost last night - Spoiler Alert!" so people who haven't watched will know not to click on it! Simple forum etiquette (not that we really practice civility here on DCUM, but let's pretend for a moment that we do.)

Seriously, the people who said that people just shouldn't read the thread are clueless. See, the spoiler is in the thread title. Makes it hard to avoid.

OP, in the future, try not to be a jackass.

And OP, at the end, Miles said her last words were "it worked."
And who are these temple people? Have we seen any of them before other than the flight attendant and the kids (I always wondered what happened to the kids)?

The temple people are Richard's people. Remember when young Ben first met Richard in the woods? That was back when there were just "the others" in the Dharma initiative and these worn looking people in the woods, including Richard.

I think that perhaps some of them are from the ship Black Rock or something that a PP mentioned, especially Richard who doesn't age.

OP, don't put spoilers in the heading!!!! I'm going to have to remember to not read DCUM until after I watch the show.

The stewardess and the two kids from the plane were at the temple, too. Obviously just more Others.

There are also "other" others -- they aren't more others. In the flashback when Ben was a teen, he was in the Dharma initiative. There were other others living in the woods. Remember? They took over the Dharma initiative? Although it's not clear which group of others took the stewardess and kids.

Wait! I thought Sayid died, but came back to life...it seems like Jacob infiltrates people's body - like John Locke and now Sayid.

Jacob is immortal - he just takes on different "bodies" to manipulate things when he's not a plume of black smoke....I think...?

Are Whitemoore and Jacob allies? Because Ben and Whitemoore are fighting over the island, but not sure what Jacob's role is?

C'mon people - big deal you know Juliet died - there was a TON of other things going on in the story. Her death wasn't unexpected...and besides, she'll probably reappear again like all the other non DUI cast members do.
