I'm not paranoid about covid, but this doesn't seem like a good idea.
Also, it doesn't mean that the state can force the teachers back to school. It just provides guidance and it's still *voluntary*. |
| In other words, nothing is changing here in the DC area. |

Fantastic.
Now all teachers will have to teach. It can be in-person or online. But. They. Have. To. Teach. |
| This is theater. Typical. zzz |
| Trump is trying to woo the White, college educated, suburban women. Will he be successful yet again? I don't know. |
Because ... "voluntary" is going to force them? |
|
Are essential workers eligible for hazard pay? They really should be, depending on their level of exposure.

You’re free to report them. This is the kind of stuff that would probably annoy Jeff enough to remove/consolidate. I don’t care enough to do it for you though. |
Seriously DHS? Trump is turning into a Nazi thug militia run government. Is he going to strong arm teachers into the classroom? The strikes ad the economy plummet will bury him deep in the election. |
How is this different than before? They were teaching remotely before they were “essential” and they’re teaching remotely after being declared “essential” This is pure theatre. I’m sad that people are falling for it. |
How this would woo them I can’t imagine? More like REPEL |
Voluntary only means that they can choose to teach online or in-person. In any case, students can also choose to learn online or in-person. |
Are you saying they cannot use sick leave, or FMLA, or other forms of leave? I'm not sure your wishes -- or White House voluntary calls to action -- are going to override federal FMLA legislation. I'm also not sure you can force them to stay, if they want to quit. There isn't currently indentured servitude in this country, but I guess you could work on that. |
They can’t choose to learn in-person if the school isn’t open for in-person. |
