The tutor would need to be able to travel with us so someone with no ties (spouse, kids, etc). I’m not looking for a preschool teacher as my child is 9. The tutor needs to be able to communicate with my child’s teachers and be able to help her complete her work. Her school expects a high level of engagement and my child will need a lot of support. I’d also like someone who can help with French.

Was your child’s school any help? When we lived in NYC, DD went to Brearley and when we had to move abroad, the school helped us find a tutor for two years.

My nanny friend has traveled extensively with her employers, but she's not a teacher. She's not affiliated with any agency, her employers find her by word of mouth.

Post here by all means, but also ask all your well-to-do friends whether they know someone.

I haven’t tried the school because I don’t want them to think I’m trying to poach a teacher. But maybe I will. Adventure Nannies looks great PP. Just what I had in mind.

Good luck getting other countries to let you in as an American right now.

Just go to your closest seminary.

Don’t you have an Ivy League alumni network to help you with this? Serious question. I know things like this are sometimes posted on mine for recent graduates.

OP here. We went to university outside the US. Why do you assume we went to Ivy League schools? Obviously we won’t travel until until it is safe. We can travel within the US so we will do that as much as we can.

OP, read this https://www.vanityfair.com/style/2020/07/everyone-is-homeschooling-just-not-like-the-ultrarich, take note of the agencies it mentions, and contact them.
