20 people shot in SE on Sunday, no comment?

I wonder what would happen on that neighborhood if a bunch of UMC activists marched down the street in the middle of the night banging pots for everyone to wake up.

BEST post of the day! Thank you! Seriously. I'm typing from Congress Heights and dying of laughter. I only wish that would happen!

Why don't you give the people a couple days to recover from their bullet wounds before you jump into action talking about them like they're shit.

Also, this makes no sense. Protesters are trying to wake up/disturb white people so they go to majority white neighborhoods. If MPD saw hundreds of young black people street partying uptown during a pandemic you better believe they'd have broken it up. But here they "didn't have enough officers."

There were cops there in the crowd when the shooting happened. Obviously they have the manpower.

Where were the violence interruptors? If they had been there, they would have been able to interrupt the violence and get everyone out safely.

Some way, some how, this is all the fault of some family in Bethesda with kids in a private.

Where were the police?

Oh right, the ones that weren't doing nothing to stop the violence were there partying.

I thought that's what people want from police these days?

This is such a stupid straw man. Is the country’s ongoing systemic racism a factor in the cycle of reckless violence that plagues the city? Yes! That does not mean anyone is blaming your family. Try to behave like a respectable adult.

The only solution is a capital gains tax cut. Oh, and getting tough just like the 1980s, but never mind that crime was higher then.

You do realize that all the shooters were black, right?

It's systemic racism that makes black people shoot black people?

Are you referring to the off duty officer attending the party?

I don't know where anyone would have gotten that impression. Let me guess though: you read a headline somewhere that said BLM wants to "defund the police" and instead of actually reading the article, where you would have learned that "defund the police" means to reallocate some funding from police to community improvement, mental health and social services, and other proven ways to reduce crime and free police from providing those services so that they can focus on responding to situations where force is necessary, in your profound ignorance interpreted that as "no police at all" and came here to smugly show how little you know?

How does black-on-black crime fit into the BLM agenda?
