Has your daycare/preschool had a Covid case or scare yet?

Is it a large school? Are you comfortable sharing which?

Where is this? What region?

DC. Open for 8 weeks. One child tested positive and that classroom was shut down for 2 weeks. Staff in that classroom plus door staff facilitating dropoff/pickup were tested- all negative. Some other children were tested, also all negative.
Interestingly, the child had a sibling who was not tested but the health department did not recommend closure of that classroom. Sibling did have to quarantine though. The positive case had no symptoms while present in care.

Our preschool has not had any cases. It has been open since June

Nothing at our childcare since May. The school consists of 50 children and 10 staff members. Everyone is doing their part. So appreciative!

She had briefly interacted with a full-time teacher, so that teacher and her entire class quarantined for 14 days. That teacher and the kids tested negative, but the school requires them to complete the 14 day quarantine anyway.

The teacher who tested positive was sick for a couple of days and then felt fine.

Something similar happened at our daycare as well. In Alexandria.

My kids have been going to daycare since March, there is about 20 kids and several adults. All parents are healthcare workers. Not a single case.

Nothing at ours, but my friend in the Boston area said a kid in her son's class tested positive. Everyone in the class had to quarantine for two weeks but I don't think there were any other positives.
