How Often Does your Elementary School Child have Phys. Ed.?

I know you are probably kidding (to a degree), but a word of warning -- Fairfax is now facing major cuts due to the recession and falling real estate taxes. They are looking to cut back. I would focus on after school activities as a chance for PE. Sucks, but it is reality. |

Yes, it is twice a week for our 1st graders but only for about 25 minutes each. By the time they get to the gym, settle down, and listen to the PE teacher talk about healthy eating or some such topic, there is little time for any actual exercise! |

That might be true, but from what I've heard Fairfax county is in really dire straits. They're looking at a whole bunch of cuts coming up. (not the poster of the PP) |
