Girls' underwear recommendation

DD loves Calvin Klein that her grandma used to get at Costco. The waistband is way below belly button.

We don't have Costco and the Calvin's on Amazon all looked fake, last I checked, so I just got Hanes or fruit of the Loom. She said they're fine. Way cheaper than Calvin's. Just be careful what style you're ordering. I almost got high waisted briefs instead of the preferred lower cut.

I agree.

I am upset with HA atm as I think their quality has gone down hill. So I am buying boden and they are so soft... I want to try Primary as it seems a good and cheaper brand.

We have been fine with the Hanes brand from Target (not Cat and Jack or character underwear - just regular Hanes). They have a variety of styles - brief, bikini, boyshort.

We do Children's Place undies. FYI they own Gymboree now and sell a limited selection of their clothing, but unfortunately no underwear at this time.

Amazon essentials has great underwear.

Another vote for carters. I like that it doesn’t have an itchy elastic waistband. GAp is ok too but in the bigger sizes their underwear has an elastic waistband. DD is 6.

I like fruit of the loom white briefs. So soft and generous but not high waisted. They run small... I order direct online from them.

NP. Thanks, OP, for starting this thread. My almost-8yo DD was having the same issue. She'd always worn the Target character ones without complaint but no longer wanted to wear them (which I completely understand, just hadn't occurred to me). I got her Cat & Jack and Hanes to try, but neither fit at all.

After this thread, I got her some Carter's to try, and they're great! Great fit, no childish characters, very soft. I wouldn't have thought of Carter's for underwear for an 8yo, so thanks to the PPs with that suggestion.

Gap, cat and jack from target

Gymboree was nice! Very stretchy. The only place I really haven’t liked is primary...odd cut and the kind of cotton that gets stretched out easily

FWIW, I got some Gap kids underwear for myself (long story, bad packing job for a weekend trip pre-lockdown) and really like them.

Scary thing is she is now needing some coverage up to so we got her these cute bralettes.

I just got the bralettes for my 10 yr old and she likes! Though I thought the interfacing made them bulkier than they need to be. But they are still a good buy and better quality than anything else I’ve come across.
