Disgrace!

So 18th and I is about half the city to you?

What part of VA do you live in?

My office is 15th and I, our entire ground floor of the whole block is still boarded up.

You may not be aware, but there is a lot of DC that isn't your office. You probably don't pass much of it on your commute.

Half the city isn't boarded up.

That is because the idiot in the WH closed of the park in front of the WH. That area looks like a war zone, but it has nothing to do with Bowser.

I find it interesting that she doesn't seem to take action until the surrounding counties in MD and VA do. She's coming across as more of a follower than a leader.

The three localities are coordinating efforts, as they have all stated publicly.

I understand that, but she always seems so late in coming out with her decisions. Take the school plan for example. DC was the LAST jurisdiction to announce its plans.

The fact that indoor dining, indoor church services and gyms are still open but school buildings aren't -- and probably won't be for all of the next academic year -- are proof that she's a cretin. Schools need to be the No. 1 priority, not making sure some 25-year-old dimwit can get a drink at a bar.

They really don't, and there's a no strike clause in the collective bargaining agreement so there is nothing they could have done about it (except make a lot more noise) if she decided to go forward with hybrid learning.

She has done fairly well. Next step (if illness keeps increasing) is to close indoor seating at restaurants and bars.

Yep! This!

So is Georgetown

She kowtows to teachers unions and now our kids can’t go to school

Makes a lot of sense

While you’re not making ANY sense. Name the school systems in that area or with similar stats that are open.
Call out the individuals violating the mask and social distancing rules.

Who’s jerking your strings? “Kowtow “? “Coward”? Really? You sound like a character in a badly translated movie. If you really have something to offer, suggest some policy proposals. Maybe Betsy DeVos could use your assistance.

Yep. It’s absolutely shameful. Her “leadership” is pathetic.

Opening bars, gyms and restaurants are idiotic. It will not end well.

No not really - MPD has been quite aggressive about pursuing and arresting people involved in property crimes.

https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/dc-police-release-names-of-people-charged-with-rioting-looting/2318395/

https://mpdc.dc.gov/release/arrests-made-felony-riot-acts-additional-suspects-sought

There wasn't actually that much looting in DC so that doesn't strike me as kowtowing to anyone.

And 50% of DC was not boarded up. There was some looting in my part of town (it hardly qualified as rioting and nothing whatsoever to do with the BLM demonstrations) and the only stores still boarded up are stores that are closed.

I'm not a Bowser fan but then you aren't a DC resident and I'm skeptical you even come into DC except for occasionally driving to a Nats or Caps game.
