How many cars do you have in your household vs. "designated parking spots?"

we have 2 cars and a 2 car garage. But we have had to turn our garage into a work space for my husband and a dance studio space for our daughter during covid, so we have our cars in the driveway right now. I think the driveway could fit 6 cars if we wanted to?

Oh, and my parents are living with us right now, so they have their car parked on the street.

One garage spot and three would fit (tightly) in the driveway. Parking three in the driveway and one on the street as the garage is a mess.

My husband is a “car guy” and owns three classic/hobby cars.

We have two teen/college aged drivers.

4 drivers/6 cars, but we purposefully bought a house with a garage for two of the classics, and off the street parking (not even street visible) for the other cars, plus extra room. It’s a lot but he keeps it cleaned and organized so it doesn’t look like a used car lot. We each have our assigned spot.

I can’t imagine having a garage and off the street parking, but then being too lazy to use it.

We have 4 cars, a 2 car garage and a paved parking area beside garage where another 5 or 6 cars can be parked. We live pretty far out and have space so it looks nice and not a mess.

We have 3 cars. 1 car in the garage, 1 paved spot for the truck near the road and 1 car on our driveway but we have a road basically for a driveway so I think it can fit a fleet of cars or we could park on the grass and have a parking lit.

1 & 1. However, if I owned a second car, I would be able to get a second spot for it (I own a 1BR condo, so technically, two adults could live here and both have cars).

We live in a single family home in Silver Spring. No garage or driveway. There's room for three cars in front of our house and we own two.

Our neighbors have a 1 car garage and a 1 Car wide driveway. Their 4 children are home from college. They park 1 in the driveway and the other 5 in front of my house.

What’s annoying to that there is no house on the opposite side of the cul d’sac so they could park their 5 cars there but they park in front of my house because it’s a closer walk to their house. I end up having to park across the street.

Sounds like my rude neighbor. They could fit a few more cars on the driveway, but the dad doesn't like having tome a car to get out so the park in front of my house.

We had A single driveway, no garage, and two cars. We parked one car in the driveway and one car in front of our house on the street. We have since widened our driveway to fit two cars, so now both cars are in the driveway

Well PP could park in her garage, so she’s just as rude.

Growing up we lived on a 40 by 100 plot on a street with no parking. Our driveway was narrow but 80 feet long with a single car garage. We had six cars. Five in driveway touching bumpers in a row and one around the corner. I recall my brother once went to beach with friends and his convertible was on top and we do the whole move five cars thing. We almost clog up street.

1 car. 2 spots.

3 cars, two in front of our house and 1 in the driveway.

The only time we have an issue is when the neighbors who have plenty of space take over our spots right in front of our house or jam us in for the shade (which they had but choose to cut a tree down) and still parked in that spot even when they had the tree.

So you want to park where it is most convenient for you. Just like they do. Go figure.

Found the person that obnoxiously parks in front of neighbor's house when there are more appropriate alternatives. Yes, we know, no one owns the street, etc etc. It's still inconsiderate behavior.
