| Might not be the popular shoe with kids but Mizzuno makes some great real leather soccer cleats |
What level of copas would you say are good quality? 20.1s? |
| The mundials if you are going to spend aren't much more and are a huge jump in leather quality |
As a former player, and current coach may I politely ask you to please encourage and promote your child to wear shin guards during practices. Builds character (he won’t be comfortable and rightly so), makes him used to it so during games they don’t bother, and most importantly for his health. Would be a shame if he got injured from a preventable situation.... |
I 100% agree with you. Every single word. I do. However, only ONE kid on his team wears shin guards to practice. The kids in general haven't worn shin guards for probably two years. His coach allows it and I would say...promotes it. He played in college and Europe and elsewhere too and still plays. My son also has done lots and lots of supplemental training with various companies and it seems like kids just don't wear shin guards anymore and I just got done arguing with him. I don't understand it. I don't. With that said, when he does need to wear them for games, he doesn't complain that they aren't comfortable. I think it's just about being LAZY! |
| The light weight shin guards from now cover so little area that whatever hit the shin would have to do so perfectly for them to do anything. They exist to comply with a rule and nothing more |
Yes the 20.1 would be the better one unless you want more expensive and laceless 20+. I prefer laces. As the other poster mentioned the copa mundial are excellent but some kids may not like the traditional look. Mizunos are way too expensive although the best leather shoe and in my opinion probably the best shoe period. The puma king platinum is another excellent shoe. The mundial may be cheaper than the 20.1. |
And if you are looking to save and can find something in your kid’s size go with last year’s model. |
