Cora- nn Coco - 3
Cicely or Cecilia - 6 for Cecilia, Cicely is not good
Matilda - 4
Martha - 2
Elsie - 3 see Ruby
Harriet - 1 see Ruth

I agree with all of this, except I’d drop Ruby and Coco to a 2.

I love Ruby, Ruth (and love the nn Ruthie). Elsie is ok. Matilda is ok and I like the nn Tilly too. I don’t like Cora, Coco, Cicely or Cecelia at all. Martha is ok. Samantha doesn’t seem to fit w the rest of the list and I don’t like it and especially don’t like nn Sam or Sammie. Don’t like Harriet but do like nn Hattie.

I guess I like old lady names w nicknames A few more you might like: Virginia nn Ginny/Jennie, Camille/Camila nn Millie, June, Lucy.

I only like Samantha, Cecilia (nn Cece?). My mom is Martha and hates it fwiw. Goes by a nn.

Ruby is best

I like Ruth, Cecily, and Matilda! Cora is cute, but trendy/popular these days, I think.

Ruby - nice
Samantha - dated and overused in its era.
Ruth - could work on the right kid. Ruthie is an adorable nn.
Cora - nn Coco - nice but getting very popular in some circles. I prefer Coralie.
Cicely or Cecilia - both are nice but I prefer Cecily to Cicely.
Matilda - never cared much for this one. I’d use only if you like the nn Mattie.
Martha - OK
Elsie - love
Harriet - lots of teasing potential here (hairy?). Not a fan.

I like most of your names. I'm not wild about Ruby or Harriet, but I hate Elsie.

Elsie is automatically associated with the Borden's mascot, Elsie the cow.

Is Cicely = Cecily?

Are they pronounced the same?

Go with Cecily then.

Anything but Samantha.

Half of these are all around awful and half are cute for a puppy but since this is in expectant moms and not pets, I’m going to say ... just no.

I pretty much agree with this person!

I love Celilia. Beautiful classic name and definitely not overused. If you needed a nickname you could go with Lia or Cissy.

YouTube the song “Celilia” by Simon and Garfunkel- it’s fun.

I like them all except for Ruth.

I like a lot of these, but here's some feedback:

BEST ONES: Cora, Cecelia, Matilda (Tilly)

Ruby - popular among hipster parent crowd, it's cute but it's going to feel very "of a certain moment in time" in a few years

Samantha - feels dated

Ruth - i love grandma names, but this one might be too clunky even for me

Cora- nn Coco - adore it, i think it's exactly the right note you are trying to hit, classic not overwhelmingly popular fun nickname

Cicely or Cecilia - like in the same way I like Cora, prefer Cecilia (Cece is fun)

Matilda - love with the nickname Tilly

Martha - is your family cool enough to pull it off? will your kid be? this sort of feels like Mallory to me, can swing clunky or cool

Elsie - maybe as a nickname for something longer so she has options?

Harriet - there's grandma names and there's unattractive names, can't get past the "hairy" but I'd also never name my kid "Harry"
